Taking a day off from code, so here is where the career mode is heading.
You start with a pitch and not much else. Every upgrade costs real money out of your budget, and every one of them shows up in the 3D match engine:
- A pitch and a dream.
- Lower bowl.
- Upper tier.
- Roof and floodlights.
Bigger ground, more seats, more matchday revenue. But that is money you are not spending on players, and the payback takes seasons. Spend it on concrete or spend it on a striker. That is the game.
That is the decision I want the career mode to be full of. Not menus. Trade-offs you actually have to look at every home game, and then walk out and play in whatever you paid for. Plenty of management games have stadium upgrades. Very few let you see them from the pitch.
No dates on this. It is a plan, and it reads better as intent than as a promise.
