Corner kicks landed this week, and that completes the cycle.
Aim with the arrow, then choose your ball: a driven low cross on A, or a charged lofted cross on X. Both use the same run-up animation but launch the ball differently, one flat down the arrow, one lofted in with the power bar and its over- and under-hit error. Team-mates read the situation on their own: they stop defending, crash the 18-yard box, and spread across near post, penalty spot and far post so they are not stacked on one man.
It is the same set-piece framework I built for throw-ins and goal kicks: freeze the aim arrow on release, cut to the broadcast camera, play the run-up, and fire the kick on the exact contact frame.
Throw-ins, goal kicks, corners. The full match restart cycle is playable end to end. It sounds unglamorous until you play a match without it and the game just stops.
Next: making the AI actually smart on the ball.
