This is the clip I have wanted to record since day one. Start a new career. Pick a club. Walk out for the first fixture, play the match yourself in 3D, put one in the top corner, and then go back to the hub and watch the league table update with the result you just earned.
Every football game makes you choose. Management sims hand you a spreadsheet and a highlight reel. Football games hand you a menu and a match. The whole idea here is to refuse that trade: the result feeds the real league table, the squad on the pitch is the squad from your save, and the season remembers what you did.
It is rough. The players are capsules, the pitch is a green box, and the table is a plain list. But the loop is closed, and everything from here is depth on top of a loop that already works.
Built solo in Unreal Engine 5, C++ and Blueprint. Devlog coming.
