This week was about making it feel like a real match, and two things changed everything.
Speed. I dialled run and sprint speeds down to realistic numbers. No more arcade zoomies. The moment the players slowed down, positioning started to matter: you can no longer sprint out of a bad decision, so you have to make a good one.
Shape. 3v3 with triangle positioning. One team-mate supports, one makes the run, always. Instead of everyone swarming the ball there is a man to play to and a man to play through.
Also in: a proper pause menu. Resume or quit, fully navigable on the controller, so you can actually breathe.
It is the little things that sell a match.
